in a different light wellness concert

6pm at music haven in new haven

This concert reimagines classical music through poetry, meditation, and sound healing. Experience an evening of community and reflection.

Music Haven
315 Peck Street, Building 5, 2nd Floor
New Haven, CT 06513

In a Different Light reimagines the traditional piano recital as a space for reflection, awareness, and connection. This quasi-lecture performance blends live music with gentle narration, inviting listeners to engage not just with what they hear, but how they hear it.

Through guided moments of breathwork and mindful listening, the program encourages audiences to slow down and experience sound with greater clarity and intention. Works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Thomas Adès, Claude Debussy, and Philip Glass are presented alongside brief reflections that illuminate texture, time, and resonance—offering entry points into the music that are both personal and immediate.

The performance unfolds in a warm, living room–style setting with soft lighting and relaxed seating, creating an atmosphere that supports stillness and openness. Listeners are invited to settle into the space, follow their breath, and discover new dimensions of familiar repertoire.

Following the performance, guests are welcome to stay for a reception with wine, cheese, and light refreshments, extending the evening’s spirit of community and reflection.

maine retreat

with sweatfluence

Sometimes the most meaningful retreats aren’t the farthest away, they’re the ones that give you permission to slow down enough to hear yourself again. Our Maine Yoga Retreat is an invitation into the gentle rhythm of the land, where forest, fields, shared meals, and intentional practice shape each day.

We’ll gather at Casa Portal, a retreat homestead set on a working farm in Jackson, Maine. Centered around a restored 1840s farmhouse and surrounded by woodland trails, gardens, heritage sheep, small cabins, and a restored barn for practice and gatherings, the space is designed for connection: to nature, to community, and to yourself.

Led by Elizabeth Voytershark and assisted by Courtney Delvecchio, our days unfold slowly. Mornings begin with coffee, tea, breathwork, and vinyasa flow. Afternoons are open for rest, journaling, nature walks, or simply being. Evenings bring grounding practices ranging from slow flow to yin and restorative, followed by sound healing and soft closing circles to help integrate the day.

Guests will have optional opportunities for Reiki, cupping during select savasanas, saging rituals, and oracle readings for those seeking deeper layers of relaxation and energetic support.

Meals are shared together, featuring nourishing farm-to-table offerings that create space for conversation, presence, and community.

This retreat is for anyone feeling the quiet pull toward a tender pause, slower mornings, meaningful practice, time in nature, and the kind of healing that happens when you’re held by the land and each other.

stay tuned for more monthly events and retreats!
